Sewell Wallis are working with a well-established and growing business based in Knaresborough who are recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

The successful candidate will report into a highly ambitious Senior Finance Manager and will need to have a strong technical accounting background, ideally specialising in audit, working for a recognisable accountancy firm.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with external and internal reporting requirements.
- Ensuring robust financial controls are implemented across the function.
- VAT returns.
- Ensure compliance is always adhered to in accordance with regulations.
- Prepare statutory accounts.
- Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Be a key point of contact for any technical accounting queries.
- Support with ad hoc projects when required.
- Respond to audit queries.
What skills are we looking for?
- Experience working with a large accountancy firm.
- ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.
- Analytically minded and naturally inquisitive.
- Strong excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
