NextGen Teachers are currently working with school based in Harrogate who are seeking to recruit full-time Support Assistants to support the children in school who live with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs including; Anxiety and depression.

This school is based in Harrogate and is easily accessible by car from North Leeds or Central Harrogate. The school are looking for candidates who are experienced in supporting Individuals who with with Mental Health needs and display challenging behaviour.

This Specialist SEMH School in Harrogate caters for pupils aged 8-16 years of age who have Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and who are working on a Primary based curriculum.

The role of an SEMH Support Assistant in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students.
