A great opportunity to join a dynamic local business in Knaresborough. The position is part-time, 16 hours a week. It’s a hybrid role, allowing you to work from home with a once-a-week office visit, which can be discussed at the interview stage.

We are seeking an Administration Assistant to provide essential support to a Project and Sales Director and general administrative assistance at the office based in Knaresborough. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and a highly organised approach to their work.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Serve as the main point of contact at the Knaresborough office, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales and Project Director, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks to support the company’s needs.
  • Maintain organised files and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in an office administration role or similar position.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Educated to GCSE level with a minimum of Grade C/4 in English and Maths.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
