Production Team Leader
£28,900, Knaresborough, 25 days holiday + bank, pension, ongoing training, excellent opportunity for progression
Excellent opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing business as a Production Team Leader. You will be responsible for the hands-on management of a team of 10 ensuring day to day production targets are met and quality levels are maintained. The role would suit someone with previous supervisory experience ideally in a target-driven manufacturing environment.
Managing production workers to ensure production targets
- Ensure work output meets the production schedule
- Follow up scrap and rework
- To ensure the right start of production including startup check sheets/procedure/first-off parts,
- To ensure the continuous accomplishment of standards
- Ensuring SOP's and giving instructions to correct any inadequate actions
- Effective handover to next shift.
- To analyse the previous day's production results with the supervisor
- Ensure correct application of work methods quality, safety, and environment
- To train any new starters/agency staff online.
- Assist in the implementation of improvements
The Person:
- Previous experience in a team leader or line manager role
- Knowledge of SOP's and working to targets
- Ideally from a manufacturing or similar background
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5's and Kaizen
- Excellent communication skills
- Quality-focused and a good problem-solver
