Here at Logic Fire & Security, were seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team based in Knaresborough. This is a central role with direct links to all areas of the business with responsibility for the daily operations of the Purchasing and Stock Control team, Purchasing Assistant and our fleet of company vehicles.

What we offer:

Were looking to offer a salary of between £30,000-£32,000 for this role and are open to candidates of various levels. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and company pension with the working hours: Mon/Tue 8am-4pm, Wed/Thurs 8am-4.30pm and Fri 8am-3pm.

Key areas of responsibility:

Build excellent working relationships with key suppliers securing competitive and preferential rates and services

Procurement of all operational materials, plant equipment and fleet vehicles

Manage storage, issue and returns of stock, liaising with the Purchasing and Procurement Manager to ensure all materials and equipment required for each client project are readily available

Ensure that invoicing is prompt for all stock dispatched

Experience required for the role:

Previous exposure to a similar role within the Fire & Security sector is preferred

A proven track record of team mentorship and management

Have strong business, commercial acumen where your industry knowledge drives respectful negotiations to secure competitive rates

Offer new business ideas or strategies for the good of the department and business as a whole
