Empowering Learning is working with a SEND School in Knaresborough HS5, who are seeking Unqualified Learning Support Assistants in their classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles are due to start ASAP.

You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.

Duties- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.- Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.- Support students in their academic and social development.- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.

```Skills```- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.
