Location:

Onsite working: The National Holocaust Centre and Museum,

Acre Edge Road, Laxton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 0PA

Main responsibilities:

  • To provide first line helpdesk support to staff for hardware, software, audio-visual, photocopiers and telephone equipment.
  • To assist with the purchase, setting up, maintenance and repair of computers, audio-visual equipment, computer-linked equipment and computer-related equipment.
  • To install and configure software applications.
  • To support the Centre’s development of digital exhibits and learning media.
  • To provide advice and information on technical questions and queries, including security, data backups, disaster recovery and virus control.
  • To help produce and maintain I.T statistics, reports, checklists, IT and user procedures documentation and other documentation as necessary.
  • To provide consultancy in technical areas as required.
  • To assist with the upkeep of the Centre’s I.T. inventory and IT asset register
  • To help maintain appropriate stock levels of computer consumables and accessories and to raise purchase orders as necessary ensuring that value for money is obtained.
  • To maintain satisfactory standards of safety and security in relation to computer rooms and equipment.
  • To set up, maintain and organise repairs for various computing, audio visual and telephone equipment.
  • To be aware of and abide by the Centre’s Health and Safety, Data Protection and other procedures and associated polices.
  • To proactively implement the Centre’s policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other relevant duties as may reasonably be requested by the Senior Management Team.
  • To maintain Cyber Essentials accreditation for NHCM.
  • Support the Facilities and Operations Manager with the setup, maintenance, and staff induction of shared information drives via SharePoint.
  • To learn how to use our onsite livestreaming equipment and provide support for the setting up, broadcasting, and recording of future livestreams.
  • Potential for occasional Sunday or evening working for special events e.g. where we would wish to livestream a special event.
  • To learn how to use our CRM system and support users wherever possible.
  • Other related responsibilities that may occur.
