The Contract Mechanical Fitter position offers a competitive PAYE rate of £20.00 per hour or £26.46 under an umbrella scheme, with an additional incentive payment of £1,000 for every successful three-month period worked.
Candidates should ideally have formal qualifications in a relevant discipline, although this is not essential, and must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings while using various hand and power tools.
The role involves building and assembling industrial rotating equipment, dynamic balancing of components, and working from technical drawings and schematics to ensure product specifications are met.
Working hours are 37 hours per week, with a day shift from Monday to Thursday and a 12 PM finish on Fridays, providing a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities of the Contract Mechanical Fitter will include:

Building and assembling a range of industrial rotating equipment
Dynamic balancing of components, including impellors, shafts and rotors
Reading, interpreting and working directly from a range of technical drawings, BOMs and schematics, ensuring that products are built in line with tolerances and specifications

For the Contract Mechanical Fitter position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess the following:

IDEAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL: Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
The ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and effectively use a variety of hand & power tools

Working Hours of the Contract Mechanical Fitter:
37 Hours per week working a regular day shift

Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 15:30
Friday - 07:00 to 12:00

In return, the Contract Mechanical Fitter will receive:

Pay Rates: PAYE: £20.00 / UMBRELLA PAYE: £26.46
Incentive Payment: £1,000.00 for every successful 3 month period worked
Overtime: Frequently available paid at time & a half and double time (Sundays only)
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days (PAYE)
Assignment Duration: 3 Month rolling assignment (often extended and sometimes offered permanent, but not guaranteed)
