Transport Supervisor

R Recruitment LTD are currently recruiting for our prestigious Client based in Knottingley.

We are looking forTransport Supervisorto join our client at Knottingley branch for temp to perm work. The candidate must have previous Transport Supervisor experience.

• 4 on 4 off
• 12 hour shift
• 6pm to 6am OR 6am to 6pm
• Temp to Perm

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee the night operations of the company
• To support and lead the Transport Administrators
• To accurately input any manual data onto a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Booking vehicles in and out of site.
• Completion of all transport compliance documentation,
• To ensure all delivery vehicles data is accurately recorded on to the system.
• Take ownership of partner telephone and email queries as and when required, dealing with issues professionally and efficiently.
• Scanning, filing, and communicating effectively with warehouse staff
• Any other administration duties relevant to the needs of the business
• Communicating effectively with drivers and visitors to site.
• Ensure that all tasks and assignments are completed efficiently and on time
• Handle any customer inquiries or issues that may arise during the night shift or day
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication

• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
