Job Purpose:
Managing day to day resources to ensure the completion of all tasks within the chilled warehouse to a high standard of performance.


Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
Working as part of the Warehouse Supervisory team you will be responsible for;

Managing the goods in, picking and dispatch process to ensure the correct and timely completion of tasks within the warehouse whilst simultaneously driving continuous improvement

Managing and ensuring consistency to the Company People Management Process.

Assist the chilled warehouse management in conducting briefings, appraisals and on-going performance reviews ensuring clear communication at all times.

Contribute to the achievement of Company objectives.

Develop your own leadership & Management skills alongside core competencies & skills.

The principal accountability of the Warehouse Supervisor role will be subject to the following KPIs (Key Performance Indicators);

Performance cases per hour, performance management through investigation and coaching conversations.

Accuracy of picks, measured as a % of stock adjustments against cases picked.

Accuracy of goods receipted measured as a % of errors during PI checks.

Accuracy of goods dispatched measured as usage of Scan to vehicle and pallets delivere to their correct destination

Pallet utilisation measured as average cases per pallet by retailer.

Continues improvements actions reflect warehouse layout.

  • All direct reports will be appraised in accordance with People Management Process
  • All direct reports will be provided with a weekly or daily briefing
  • All direct reports to be encouraged supported and have the opportunity to contribute improvement suggestions.
  • All direct reports set quarterly objectives in line with company People Management Process
  • Management of warehouse practices to encourage the achievement of Company objectives for energy efficiency and recycling.
  • Management of resources to contribute to Company objectives for cost reduction.
  • Management of warehouse, warehouse practices and housekeeping to reduce expenditure on damages and general repairs.
  • Work with colleagues to encourage improved communication within the business.

Assist warehouse management team in controlling and monitoring costs in the following areas;

  • Overtime
  • MHE
  • Warehouse maintenance
  • Build relationships with colleagues throughout the wider business.
  • Operate to high moral, personal and professional standards when representing the business.
  • Maintain a high degree of personal discipline, time keeping and morale.
  • Personal development plans.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Company Policies.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues to ensure that targets and schedules are understood and that key messages are passed on.
  • Ensure that any commercially sensitive information is protected at all times.

If successful training will be required for 4 weeks in Coalville, West midlands from 1st October Travel and accommodation will be arrange when making offer.
