Sonic Summary

The Maintenance Engineer position is available at a leading manufacturing firm located in the Knottingley area of Wakefield.
The role offers a salary of approximately £53,000 along with a KPI-driven annual bonus and overtime pay at 1.5 and 2 times the regular rate.
Candidates are required to have a recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and a strong awareness of health and safety.
The job entails providing plant-wide maintenance services, supporting departmental repairs, and ensuring production targets are met.
Ideal candidates should have prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar roles, with a total of 48 hours of work per week, including a Saturday morning shift every three weeks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer include:

Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.

Experience and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Engineer:

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical
High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
Maintenance Engineer experience or qualifications of a Maintenance Engineer
