We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Knottingley, Wakefield. This is a full-time, fixed-term position starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2025. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children, helping them develop foundational skills and a love for learning.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s development.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in a Reception class.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
