Assistant Management Accountant

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll work closely with the Management Accountant, pulling together vital financial info that helps their leadership team make the best decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Balancing the books: Completing all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Sorting bank accounts: Reconciling the company's accounts.
  • Handling the numbers: Preparing accruals, prepayments, and stock reconciliations.
  • Stock updates: Managing valuations and workshop job reports.
  • Journals and ledgers: Posting nominal ledger journals.
  • Digging into expenses: Reviewing and analysing areas of expenditure.
  • Supporting monthly accounts: Helping to prepare management accounts.
  • Managing assets: Keeping the fixed asset register up to date.
  • Weekly insights: Publishing the weekly P&L estimate and cash flow.
  • Admin bits: Completing ONS surveys and supporting VAT returns.
  • Teamwork: Getting stuck into other finance/admin tasks and working with other departments on finance-related projects.

About You:

  • You'll be part-qualified in CIMA (or AAT).
  • You'll have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You may of worked in manufacturing or a similar background (stock-focused work is a big part of this role).
  • Excel is your thing - you're a whizz!
