Experienced Personal Care Sales Manager looking to further develop their career required for a growing, well-established chemical distributor in Cheshire.
Title: Sales Manager - Personal Care
Location: Hybrid, 1 day a week in Cheshire office
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits
Term: Permanent
SRG is partnering with a leading chemical supplier and distributor in Cheshire, who offer a wide range of innovative raw materials to manufacturers and brands in the UK personal care market. With world-class R&D and manufacturing facilities in Europe and globally, they have a well-known reputation for success in the market. Adopting a value-based sales approach, you will travel extensively across the UK, regularly meeting customers to continually build, develop and grow customer relationships across personal care manufacturers and brands. Initially the role will be primarily business development focused, with a target database of around 60 customers, and will naturally transition into a more 50/50 business development-account management split as the market presence in the UK grows.

Role / Description
- Identifying, contacting and developing new business using a variety of methods
- Promoting the company's range of innovative personal care raw materials
- Growing market presence across the UK personal care market
- Growing existing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately look to increase account spend
- Travelling approximately 1/3 of your time across the UK to visit customer sites
- Generating leads to identify new potential UK personal care customers
- Maintaining and updating the database to build a global customer pool
- Keeping abreast of product development & trends in the personal care industry
Requirements
- Direct experience in consultative and technical sales of personal care raw materials
- Degree-level qualified (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Plant Biology or a closely related subject
- Experience with delivering technical presentations on ingredients used in personal care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing, and excited, to travel 1/3 of your time across the whole of the UK
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- A proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional customer service
