Our national client is a seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fleet Van Business Development Executive to join their fast-growing team in the commercial vehicle sector.This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the leading van brokers in the UK, helping grow their business in the Cheshire area.If you have a passion for sales and a solid understanding of fleet vans and commercial vehicles, this could be the ideal role for you!Key Responsibilities in this Business Development Executive role;Business Development & Sales:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the fleet van customer base.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and conducting market research.
  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet specific client needs and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns that attract new business.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the customer journey.
  • Hold regular client meetings to assess fleet performance and discuss future requirements.
Product Knowledge & Consultation:
  • Stay informed on the latest van models, fleet management solutions, and industry developments.
  • Provide consultative selling by advising clients on the most suitable fleet solutions for their operational needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive excellent after-sales support and service.
Negotiation & Deal Closing:
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to meet both client and company objectives.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, the competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor customer feedback and sales data to refine business development strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
Reporting & KPIs:
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates for management review.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
Experience required for this Business Development Executive role:
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, within fleet van sector of the automotive industry.
  • A solid understanding of fleet management, leasing, and commercial vehicle requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Skills and Knowledge Needed for this Fleet Business Development Role:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Familiarity with the fleet van and commercial vehicle industry.
  • Knowledge of financing options, leasing models, and operational cost analysis for fleet clients.
Preferred Qualifications for this Fleet Business Development Executive Role:
  • Experience managing large fleet accounts.
  • Knowledge of fleet management technology and telematics.
  • A valid driver’s license.
