As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for solving problems, ensuring efficiency and driving continuous improvement across site.
Key Tasks:
- Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, minimising downtime.
- Conduct planned maintenance and statutory checks with precision and professionalism
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team to prioritise tasks and resolve issues swiftly
- Provide support for continuous improvement projects and business-critical initiatives
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Learn and enhance machine processes, ensuring optimal operation
- Document completed work and propose actionable solutions for outstanding issues
The Person:
You are a skilled professional with a safety-first mindset, strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Apprentice trained Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer (NVQ3/C&G/ONC)
- Proven experience attending to breakdowns and planned maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic
- PLC fault finding experience - desirable
- Strong technical fault-finding skills and ability to work from engineering drawings
