My client is a fast growing, forward thinking professional services consultancy based in Knutsford. Due to growth, they are seeking a number of finance professionals to join them on a very exciting journey.

Reporting to the Finance Director this role is the Head of FP&A.

This is a group-based role and is looking for someone who is self-sufficient, has strong budget management skills and is able to bring recommendations/suggestions re processes as the business grows. This role would suit a good business partner that can talk finance to non-finance people and make it uncomplicated. Treasury experience/cash management helpful.

Other duties will include:

  • Provision of significant data and analysis, target setting and production of accurate, timely reports on all major KPI’s in the formats required for the business.
  • Recognising key drivers in future financial performance to analyse ahead of the company reporting and assessing potential risks.
  • Own the reporting, understanding key drivers with clear and concise explanation.
  • Analysing and presenting financial performance, examining trends along with commentary to senior management
  • Creating financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.
  • Building annual budgets and forecasts for the Group and consolidating into one master budget. Analysing financial and operational performance
  • Analysing budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
  • Evaluating new and existing projects investments and assets to determine their validity and appraise their value.
  • Actively take part in creation of ad-hoc reports / analysis and presentation thereof.
  • Providing support and insights to departments and stakeholders through simple ad-hoc reports and analysis
  • Creating synergies for reporting and analysis; always looking at best practice and ways of streamlining & creating efficiencies
  • Ensuring the efficiency of all controlling processes
  • Compliance with controlling standards

The right candidate for the role will be;

  • Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Be a self-starter, process driven and looking for a role that can be developed
  • Be process driven and have experience of working with acquisitions
  • Have proven experience within FP&A including financial modelling
  • Strong Advanced Excel skills
