Ashley Kate Finance are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a medical agency who are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager on a full time basis.

The Payroll & Benefits Manager oversees payroll processing and benefits administration, primarily for the UK and US, with some involvement in Europe. The role ensures compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining accurate records, and provides a seamless payroll and benefits experience for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll for multiple regions, ensuring accuracy in data such as hours worked, benefits, deductions, and taxes. Resolve discrepancies and ensure timely distribution of pay slips.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits (e.g., pensions, medical insurance) in the UK, and coordinate with third-party providers. Administer US benefits, including annual enrolment.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Stay updated on relevant payroll laws and tax requirements. Prepare payroll-related reports for authorities and collaborate with finance on salary documentation.
  • Pension/401k Processing: Manage employee retirement plans, including contributions and compliance reporting.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain confidential payroll records and manage the distribution of tax documents (e.g., P60s, W-2s).
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll and benefits processes.
  • Auditing & Reconciliation: Conduct audits and monthly reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve any issues.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong experience in payroll processing and management for the UK and US (Europe experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, with proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
