Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Infrastructure Automation Architect with extensive experience in infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud-native architecture, and DevSecOps practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll apply a software engineering approach to infrastructure automation while focusing on security, maintainability, and resiliency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
- Architect, build, and maintain cloud-native applications with a focus on event-driven, microservices-based architectures using Openshift, Kafka, and other cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the migration of legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to streamline deployment and continuous integration processes.
- Take a DevSecOps mindset, ensuring security, testing, and re-usability are integrated into automation strategies.
- Build observability into applications with a focus on alerting, logging, and monitoring to ensure rapid recovery from failures.
- Work closely with senior executives and key stakeholders to present new initiatives, provide updates on projects, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Contribute to large-scale, globally distributed projects requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.

Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience in infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
- Proven experience in Python programming (Go is a plus) with the ability to develop production-ready APIs and automation code.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, including event-driven, microservices-based design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Openshift and Kafka for building cloud-native solutions.
- Strong background in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab) and creating automated pipelines for efficient delivery.
- Experience in developing robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for enhanced observability and resiliency.
- Must have experience in the financial services industry, with a clear understanding of regulatory and security requirements in the sector.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a high-pressure environment with a track record of successful project involvement.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience developing production-ready APIs and application code using Python3. Knowledge of Go is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IaaC tools like Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, and Chef for large-scale infrastructure automation.
- Experience in building cloud-native applications using microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and GitLab, for automated code deployment.
- Knowledge of observability frameworks, ensuring systems emit the right telemetry for swift issue recovery.

Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Take a software engineering approach to automation by balancing security, maintainability, testing, re-usability, and resiliency.
- Provide hands-on guidance for infrastructure automation architecture, design patterns, and tooling.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering transformation at scale by moving legacy applications to cloud-native architecture, working with distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Utilize a DevSecOps/DevOps/SRE mindset, applying continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices.
