Maintenance Control Engineer

Days Role - Monday - Friday

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical / Control Engineer to join the engineering team at an esteemed UK manufacturing company who supply a unique portfolio of world-class products in the paper and film sector.

As Maintenance Control Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out effective fault finding and modification of industrial control systems in a process manufacturing environment
  • Write and develop PLC programs for new and existing systems
  • Routine software backups of PLC systems, drives and panel views
  • Control panel build and replacement controls for obsolescent equipment
  • Working closely with Technicians to understand key issues and implement improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and stored correctly
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive improvement of department KPI's

Requirements:

  • Time Served Electrical Engineer / Control Engineer (HNC/HND/Degree)
  • Strong technical knowledge of complex electrical systems, PLC's, Drives, Control Systems, Networks
  • Data driven and results focused
  • Analytical approach with great attention to detail
  • Leadership skills
  • Experience of working in a continuous process manufacturing environment
  • Pro-active mind-set
  • Good knowledge of H&S procedures
