The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift based Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering, particularly those who enjoy technical challenges and problem-solving.

You will be responsible for maintaining machines, focusing on preventative maintenance and reactive repairs when breakdowns occur. Additionally, you will play a key role in modernising the production environment, working on a mix of older legacy equipment and newer technology.

As a key expert, you will collaborate with project teams, provide technical insights, and contribute to process and system improvements. Previous experience in manufacturing environments (preferably chemical or food production) will offer a solid foundation to ensure machines operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise machine breakdowns.
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs, focusing on root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical support for project work aimed at modernising equipment.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and apprentices, sharing knowledge and learning from others.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of production lines, keeping machines running efficiently.
  • Work in clean room and plant room environments.
  • Fault finding on PLCs

What We're Looking For:

  • A multi-skilled engineer or experienced electrical maintenance engineer eager to grow and learn.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own shift.
  • Ability to fault find on PLCs
  • Previous experience in chemical or food manufacturing environments is advantageous.

Shifts:

  • Week 1: Mon - Wed | 06:15 - 18:30
  • Week 2: Mon - Wed | 13:45 - 02:00
  • Week 3: Wed - Fri | 06:15 - 18:30
