On behalf of our client, CV26 Recruitment has been appointed to identify a highly experienced and accomplished individual for the position of Planning Manager in the property residential sector,located in Knutsford.

Your background and experience will be in residential strategic land/town planning.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong applied planning knowledge/skills and preferably with a qualification in planning which has underpinned your career. You will likely to have worked on the developer-side and be able to demonstrate and apply your commercial skills.

Client:

Established in 2007, this privately owned and expanding company actively invest and promote a wide range of strategic land sites across the UK. They have an excellent track record in obtaining planning permissions and securing development partners on behalf of landowning clients.

Currently promoting more than 3,500 new homes equating to a Gross Development Value of over £1.5billion.

Dedicated in-house team of qualified planners.

Role and requirements:

An exciting opportunity to join a growing and well established professional and successful team:

  • You will likely have at least 6+ years track record of proven Land Planning experience gained from the private residential land sector
  • Experience of negotiating with landowners
  • Ideally, an understanding of the legal and finance processes associated with land and development
  • Essential, you must be commercially and entrepreneurially minded and with significant experience gained from the residential house building sector
  • You will be able to provide significant experience in managing and delivering strategic land projects
  • Track record of success in securing allocations and permissions
  • Ability to set strategies for large-scale planning applications and appeals (including enquiries) to ensure successful outcome
  • Possess excellent residential planning policy knowledge
  • Promoting sites through emerging Local Plans, managing the preparation and submission of written representations
  • Track record in site identification, assessing planning prospects and devising planning strategies to inform site bids/offers

About you:

  • Qualification in Planning or geography degree and/or postgraduate qualification
  • Full member of the RTPI or RICS
  • Valid driving licence
  • Proactive, tenacious, and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Team player, organised and disciplined
  • Knowledge of strategic land house building sector would be a distinct advantage
