SEN Teaching Assistant for Primary and Secondary

Salary/ Rate: £90+ per day depending on experience

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a Special Educational Needs school supporting pupils with varied Special Educational Needs. This role is to start asap and will be a long term position with the opportunity to be made permanent.

The ideal candidates will have previous SEN Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the KS3 and KS4 curriculums or EYSF to KS2 and must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN. Also will consider candidates with care background supporting with sensory needs.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS3 to KS5 or EYFS to KS2 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
