We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities. A background in commercial driving or experience as a van driver is preferred.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to scheduled delivery times while managing routes efficiently to maximise productivity.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is essential.
- Experience in warehouse operations can be beneficial for understanding logistics and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, demonstrating physical fitness for the role.
