The role is working with a market leader in the food manufacturing industry who are continuing to grow and are committed to innovation and sustainability. This role will be tasked with raising awareness at all levels and driving forward best practices across one of their major sites. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact across the organisation.

Responsibilities for the Environment Officer will include:

  • Provide help, advice, internal training, and policy communication on all environmental aspects
  • Constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements on site, and deliver training where required
  • Ensuring the delivery and development of the environmental management systems, as well as compliance with legislation and regulations across site
  • Monthly performance reports, plus analysing trends, opportunities, and risks

The successful Environment Officer will have:

  • Ideally some experience within a similar role environment or sustainability role
  • An Environmental or related qualification - IEMA or relevant Degree, such as Geography, Environmental Management or Sustainability
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop a career within environment and sustainability
  • Have a passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental space
