Rates of Pay:

  • Basic: £15.50 per hour PAYE

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

  • RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)
  • Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

  • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
  • Be responsible for the delivery of kitchen and bedroom products to customers homes. You will have a Driver's Mate to assist
  • Load and unload vehicle with the assistance of a Drivers Mate
  • Carry out pre & post journey checks
  • Ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Experience delivering large or bulky goods would be beneficial
  • Good customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training

  • Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
  • After successful Assessment, there will be paid training alongside an experienced crew member
