Maintenance Engineer, Lanark, Salary from 35,000 up to 40,000 per annum + Overtime!

Maintenance engineer required to work for a leading company in Structural steel fabrication and construction, covering preventative maintenance works across Lanarkshire. Maintenance engineers with an electrical bias required.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to fault find and repair breakdowns on machines and plant equipment, i.e., drills, blaster, saws, conveyors, welding units and overhead cranes.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance i.e., cleaning, lubricating and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and in line with the maintenance plans, updating files accordingly.
  • Adhere to electrical safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities such as inspection reports, repair logs, and equipment performance data.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have a recognized trade apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • Can carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
  • The ability to handle a varied and demanding workload, also can work to strict deadlines.
