Management Accountant | Carnforth | £40-48kReed Accountancy is working with a long standing client based in Carnforth that is looking to add a Management Accountant to their finance team. This is a permanent, full-time, office based role.Role OverviewWorking in a team of 7, you will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts for your allocated areas and building strong collaborative relationships with other managers within the company. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience across diverse multi-site businesses within the group.Key Responsibilities• Preparing month/quarter end accounts, income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents• Measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial records• Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll• Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed• Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers• Ensure VAT accounts and quarterly VAT returns are completed• Responsibility for debtors and creditors reconciliation• Manage the audit process and liaising with external personnel• Budgeting and monitoring of budgets to actuals• Assistance with statutory accounts• Ensure Intercompany recharges and reconciliations are accurateMy client is looking for someone that is CIMA or ACCA Qualified/Finalist or qualified by relevant experience (QBE).Benefits & Package:• Salary £40,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience)• 28 days holiday including bank holidays• 37.5 hour working week - Monday – Friday 9-5 (flex start and finish times if required)• Statutory pension• Employee discounts• Health & wellbeing programme• Onsite gym• Free onsite parking• Death in service policy
