You'll have enjoyed a great start to your career in practice with some experience of both audit and accounts and tax and you'll enjoy working on both. You'll be technically astute and able to manage your workload effectively, you'll also be excited to support your senior team on ad hoc projects as and when they crop up. Job Purpose

  • Work closely with senior auditors to support engagements from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts, as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  • Preparation and review of tax computations.
  • Management accounting.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities.
  • Support junior team members by knowledge sharing and supporting their progression.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA, ACCA? studying or ready to begin with previous experience within practice.
  • Experience supporting audits from planning to completion.
  • Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Adept at tax computations.
  • Experienced in management accounting.
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
