SRG are working with a global business who specialise in the development and production of construction products. They are now continuing their growth and expansion and are seeking to hire a Development Chemist to join their technical team. This role will play a crucial part in continuing the development of both new and existing products, researching and testing new raw materials and building strong relationships with suppliers. This role will suit candidates with proven industrial experience of developing and formulating products, ideally with a background in construction and DIY products, although other sectors will be considered.

Benefits: You will be joining a successful and global manufacturer, contributing to their continued success. Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Role/Description

  • Supporting in the development of both new and existing products and formulations
  • Testing products against standards and for application
  • Research and test new raw materials
  • Supporting in Quality Control (QC) testing when required
  • Support in troubleshooting production issues

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
  • Proven industrial experience of development/formulation work of products, ideally within the construction and DIY sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
