Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Agriculture Sector
Location: UK (Nationwide travel required)
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Build and nurture a portfolio of distributor accounts, setting clear goals to drive company growth.
  • Biosecurity Expertise: Offer technical advice on hygiene and biosecurity, aiding distributors and end-users through training and site visits to enhance animal health and profitability.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new customer opportunities in the poultry and swine sectors to boost product sales.
  • Travel: Engage in frequent nationwide travel, including overnight stays and occasional international travel for industry exhibitions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal marketing, technical, and sales teams to explore new market sectors and product innovations based on feedback.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of hygiene and biosecurity in poultry and/or swine sectors is essential.
  • Experience with hygiene and disinfection chemical manufacturers is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in a national or regional Sales Manager role within the B2B sector, preferably in agriculture.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills; comfortable engaging with a diverse range of customers, from farmers to corporate management.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics; further education is a plus.
  • Good IT skills, including One Drive, Office 365, and social media; knowledge of sales analysis tools like PowerBI is a bonus.
  • Valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to operate in agricultural areas must be declared before the interview.
