Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the recruitment of a Technical Expert to join their Engineering & Maintenance team. This is a permanent role focused on improving equipment performance and supporting reliability across process and utility systems within a GMP-compliant facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical lead for equipment performance, leading troubleshooting and long-term corrective actions.

  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies using reliability-centred and predictive tools.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, CAPEX projects, and root cause investigations.

  • Mentor technicians, coordinate external service providers, and ensure documentation compliance.

Requirements:

  • Time-served qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration engineering; ideally with further education (e.g. HNC, Degree).

  • Proven maintenance experience within a pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and a track record of improving equipment reliability.

  • Working knowledge of GMP, SAP/CMMS systems, and maintenance best practices.
