Our client, a renowned housing association in Lancashire, is looking for a Fire Safety Manager to join their team on an interim basis. The organisation currently has 350 ~ FRAs to manage and deliver.

Site working will be required 3-4 days a week, with 1-2 from home

Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Manager:

  • Acting as the strategic lead and subject matter expert for all things fire related within their Assets team
  • Managing the fire safety of a mixed portfolio of properties, identifying any fire safety risks and delivering plans to manage the property portfolio's fire safety.
  • Ensuring all fire risk assessments and action plans are kept up to date and work completed on time.
  • Ensuring all fire safety inspection programmes are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Producing performance reports to executive management teams
  • Analysing structure and maintenance, fire strategies, building compliance obligations and customer safety
  • Acting as part of the key compliance management team, working closely with senior colleagues contributing to the overall management of statutory Fire compliance.
  • Reviewing policies and procedures relating to all aspects of fire safety work undertaken and ensuring legal requirements and best practice is observed.
  • Monitoring contractor and consultant policies for compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Raising awareness of fire safety related issues across the organisation

Requirements of the Fire Safety Manager:

  • Fire Safety management experience
  • Experience managing building safety risks
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of fire, building and structural safety related to Social Housing
