Excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced part-time probate lawyer to join a busy department supporting the Senior Partner. We offer a competitive salary of £40000 (pro-rata) for the right candidate with benefits including 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata). We are looking for someone who is professional with a pro-active approach, excellent client care skills and the ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner.
Working in a hybrid way, this part-time position allows you to divide your time between home and the office as required or could be fully remote for the right person. You can be flexible as to when you work so it could fit in with childcare or other responsibilities, working a minimum of 7 hours per week to a maximum of 21 hours per week.
Responsibilities
You will
- manage your own caseload of probate cases varying in using a case management system
- use our case management system to make sure information is recorded accurately
- engage with clients mainly by telephone and email but also in person if the client requires
- have the ability to manage other work including wills, powers of attorney and estate administration

Qualifications
We require that you have
- qualified as a solicitor or legal executive in private practice (prefer STEP qualification) with a minimum of 2 years PQE, or have the equivalent experience in probate law
- the ability to use your initiative and effectively prioritise and organise your work in a professional environment
- a client-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships
- excellent communication and computer skills
