Housekeeper Job
Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking an experienced housekeeper for their private home near Lancaster. This is a full-time role with split shifts and does include weekends. Live in accommodation is provided on site for the betterment of carrying out the role.
The Main Responsibilities are:
- Housekeeping
- Carry out tasks for the owners when they are at home, when they have guests and when they are away.
- Maintain the inventories and ensure they are kept up to date.
- To keep the areas of the house for which you are responsible cleaned to a high standard.
- To work closely with the Cook and Cleaner to ensure all tasks are being carried out to the required standard.
- Cleaning including dusting, polishing, vacuuming
- Washing and ironing bed linen and clothing as required
- Occasional food preparation when the Cook is off
- Set the table for meals and serve meals
- Annual spring clean of all rooms in rotation
- Maintain all Household inventories
- Cleaning all areas of responsibility including polishing silver and brass, dusting, cleaning behind and under all furniture
- Clean out and set fireplaces
- Set tables for meals
- Clean and tidy main bedroom and bathroom, make bed, when the Principal is in residence
- Clean silver
- Empty suitcase on arrival and put away or wash clothes as instructed - pack for departure
- Report any breakages or maintenance required in the house
Key Skills & Experience
- Must have experience as a housekeeper in a similar role
- Good Organisational skills and attention to detail
- A team player with good communication skills and a flexible approach

Salary: £28,000 GPA
