Nursery Teacher Required in Lancaster

Position: Nursery Teacher

Location: Lancaster

Contract Type: Full-time, fixed term. October 2024 until December 2024

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

A local private nursery, providing a nurturing, fun, and a stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years required a temporary Nursery Teacher to start on Monday 28th October until Christmas 2024.

Their focus is on supporting each child's development through creative play, structured learning, and exploration and are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their team to inspire young minds.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate learning activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel valued and secure.
  • Support children's individual needs, including SEN, and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Encourage creativity, language development, and physical growth through play-based learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with other staff to maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Ensure all safeguarding policies are followed, and children's welfare is a priority.

Requirements:

  • QTS
  • Proven experience working with preschool-aged children (2-5 years).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and patient approach to working with children.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
