Do you believe every child deserves personalised support to help them succeed?We are looking for dedicated 1:1 Support Teaching Assistants to join our team in Lancaster, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their educational journey.

This role is your opportunity to make a lasting difference by fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to each child's unique needs. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure children with ASD receive the support they need to thrive. If you are compassionate, resourceful, and experienced in working with ASD, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilisation and development of 1:1 resources.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and TA's to organise appropriate activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with other LSA's and support staff.
  • Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
  • Prepare and develop class displays.
  • Keep up to date records of the pupil's progress and contribute to the child's EHCP plan.
  • Create a calm environment where learning can take place.

Essential requirements:

  • Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • TA qualified. L2/3.
