We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years/Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lancaster schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young learners, helping to shape their academic and personal development during these vital years of development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for Early Years and Year 1 pupils.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, including those with additional needs.
  • Assist in managing classroom behavior and encouraging a positive learning environment.
  • Help implement Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles and Year 1 curriculum goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support children's holistic development.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Early Years or Year 1 students (preferred).
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
