In this role, you'll provide personalised support to children with ASD, implement tailored strategies to promote their development, and collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant:

  • Assisting teachers with lessons and managing classroom behavior.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
  • Designing engaging activities for the children in your care.
  • Teaching basic life skills, such as hygiene and good manners.
  • Communicating effectively with children, staff, parents, and carers when necessary.
  • Tailoring your support to meet the individual needs of each child.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children (must provide two professional references for recent work).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Genuine passion for working with children.
  • Patience and sensitivity in dealing with young children.
  • CACHE L2/L3 or direct nursery experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of EYFS.
