Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant
Location: Lancaster
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: Monday 10th March 2025
Salary: £14.20 per hour
Contract Type: Fixed term, until July 2025

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a well-run nursery class within a local primary school. Role & Responsibilities:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of activities that support children's physical, emotional, and educational growth.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support, ensuring that all children are fully included in activities.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and confidence.
- Observing and assessing children's progress, recording observations, and contributing to reports as required.
- Supporting children with personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene where necessary.
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and development of each child.
- Ensuring a safe, secure, and stimulating classroom environment in line with safeguarding policies.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting (preferred but not essential).
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and how to support early learning and development.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach with a passion for working with young children.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
