About the Role:Our client is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join the team at their state-of-the-art care home in Lancaster. This role involves leading and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for older adults and residents with dementia. As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining operational and clinical excellence, supporting the Home Manager, and overseeing daily activities to uphold the home’s high standards.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role with strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and inspire a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dementia and elderly care, including an understanding of DOLs (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) and safeguarding regulations.
  • Prior experience in overseeing key service provisions and managing the home in the absence of the Home Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with CQC, statutory, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of care and quality monitoring.
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing, respond to changes in care needs, and update care plans as necessary.
  • Foster strong community relationships, enhancing the care home’s profile within the local area.
  • Act as a role model and ambassador for the company, leading the team in implementing the company’s vision and values.
  • Participate in the local management On-Call Rota.
