Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000/annum

Engineering @ 365 are currently working witha market-leading company in the global manufacturing of tissue paper products, to recruit an Electrical BiasedMaintenance Engineer for their Lancaster facility on a permanent basis.
Job Description:
As a Electrically BiasedMaintenance Engineer,you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the paper-making machines and related equipment. Your key responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain optimal productivity within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components to restore equipment functionality.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures, minimising downtime and ensuring rapid resolution.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment histories.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (NVQ, Diploma, Degree).
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance software and maintenance management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
