Job Title: Industrial Electrical Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: Lancaster
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position
Hours: Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am - 7:00pm
The Role:
Provide planned preventative and predictive maintenance service and support to the relevant department functions of the factory, which will enable the department to operate at a level of availability and performance within agreed standards.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Industrial Electrical Engineer:
- Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment
- Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of the factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns
- Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory
- Safely use all hand and power tools
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken
- Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions
- PLC knowledge will be an asset but not essential
- Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old one
Education/Experience of the Industrial Electrical Engineer:
- The Industrial Electrical Engineer will have a sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
- Candidates should possess a formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent.
- General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
- A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment.
