The Mortgage Broker Role

As a self-employed Mortgage Broker, you will work predominantly remotely, helping clients secure the most suitable mortgage and protection products for their needs. You will also have the opportunity to engage with employees of partnered companies at benefit days, discussing tailored mortgage solutions as part of their employment benefits.

Mortgage Broker Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' financial situations and understand their mortgage requirements.
  • Research and compare mortgage products from a range of lenders.
  • Clearly explain the terms and conditions of various mortgage products.
  • Assist clients in completing their mortgage applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions.
  • Attend company employee benefits days to provide on-site mortgage advice.

The Mortgage Broker Package:

  • Self-employed with a 60/40 commission split.
  • First-year OTE of £75k.
  • All leads provided through established introducers.
  • 10% commission for referring protection leads.
  • Six-month retainer available, up to £2k per month.
  • Full administrative support post-submission.
  • Remote working with occasional in-person meetings and travel for employee benefits events.

Mortgage Broker Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months’ experience as a whole-of-market Mortgage Broker.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK property market and mortgage products.
