Consultant Psychiatrist - General Adult Inpatient UnitLancaster20-Bed General Adult Inpatient Ward- NHS£85 plus per hourSpencer Clarke Group are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our NHS client's general adult inpatient team in Lancaster. This role will be based on a well-established 20-bed unit, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients requiring acute mental health support. You will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, including a middle-grade doctor, to provide leadership and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing care for adult inpatients.
  • Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds, coordinating with psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and support staff.
  • Act as Responsible Clinician (RC) for patients under your care.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and uphold clinical governance standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required to ensure continuity of care.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent, or within six months of completion.
  • Section 12 approval, Approved Clinician (AC) status, and experience as a Responsible Clinician.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
