Lancashire Council is looking for Social Workers to join their safeguarding team, please note that they would consider a court-only caseload if you wish.
Your primary focus will be on safeguarding the best interests of children and advocating for their rights within the legal system. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and their families involved in court cases, gathering relevant information and identifying their needs and risks.
* Collaborate with legal professionals, including solicitors, barristers, and judges, to provide accurate and timely reports on children circumstances, progress, and welfare.
* Prepare and present evidence in court hearings, ensuring that the child's voice and best interests are effectively represented.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans, outlining appropriate interventions and support services to address identified needs and promote positive outcomes for children.
* Work closely with partner agencies, such as schools, healthcare providers, and community organisations, to coordinate holistic support for children and their families.
* Provide guidance and support to children and their families, facilitating access to relevant resources, and advocating for their rights and entitlements.

Requirements:
* SWE registered
* Previous experience in frontline social work, particularly in child protection, is preferred.
* 2 years post qualifying experience

Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive hourly rate up to 42 per hour, depending on experience
* Manageable caseload
* Flexibility in working arrangements, with the ability to work both in the office and remotely (approximately 60/40% split).
