Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties to support a primary school in Lancaster.

Although experience working in a school with Special Needs is preferred, any personal or professional experience working with Complex needs is what acually matters. The main priority is caring and nurturing the children.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lancaster
  • Role: PMLD Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 8:30am-4pm (during term time)
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Minimum rate of pay: 85 per day (dependant on experience)

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Any personal or professional experience working with children with complex needs
  • Up to date Safeguarding in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Have experience working with students in small groups or on a 1-1 basis

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide professional references to cover the past 2 years
  • Committed to meeting our rigorous compliance requirements
