Hours: 36 hours per week, on the following 2-week rolling rota, with shift times ideally between 8 am and 5 pm.

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • They are happy to accommodate personal commitments, such as childcare, during the offer stage. Once agreed, the hours will be set.

About the Role:We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join the team at a luxury care home in Lancaster. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading and managing the housekeeping team, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your duties will include managing cleaning schedules, overseeing laundry services, and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety, COSHH, and infection control regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Manage, train, and motivate the housekeeping team.
  • Ensure all cleaning schedules and procedures are followed.
  • Monitor equipment and stock, reporting any issues or shortages.
  • Work with the maintenance team to address any damages or repairs.
  • Conduct regular audits of cleaning standards and staff performance.
  • Hold staff meetings and monitor the completion of assigned tasks.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience in housekeeping, preferably within a care or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and infection control protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining superior cleaning standards.
