Install Engineer

Our client provides relocatable off-grid energy solutions utilising clean / hybrid energy systems to construction and rail sites across the UK. There is an opportunity to join them as an Install Engineer and be part of their drive for a greener tomorrow.

This is a primarily site based role, installing systems on sites across the North West and surrounding areas. You will need to visit the Oldham depot each week, but can be based anywhere in the North West.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct full site installations, including:
    • Assisting in the location of welfare and accommodation using a crane.
    • Installing various site welfare in different configurations.
    • Establishing power connections using fly leads ranging from 16amp to 63amp.
    • Establishing water connections on site from mains or external sources.
    • Handling disconnections during site demobilisation.
  • Brief site install teams on Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Lift Plans and Site Drawings.
  • Prioritise and rectify site breakdowns related to water or power issues.
  • Manage stock of equipment needed for daily tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good all-round understanding of basic electrics and plumbing.
  • Experience with hybrid systems such as Solar PV, battery, wind turbines, and generators (Diesel/LPG) is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to program settings on new and existing hybrid systems.
  • Skilled in fault diagnosis on systems/generators.
  • Capable of conducting site visits to diagnose/rectify faults.
  • Experience with remote monitoring and refinement of system settings.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
  • CPCS Slinger Signaller or experience in lifting operations is desirable.
