CRS are currently assisting our client in sourcing an experienced Production Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis, due to continued growth and expansion across all divisions.
All products are designed, assembled and tested in-house and at a dedicated manufacturing and production facility.
The successful Production Engineer candidate will be responsible for:
The design, development and implementation of the infrastructure required to support and optimise production Manufacturing projects in accordance with company procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities for Production Engineer:
- Factory layout using CAD
- Specification & purchasing of capital equipment and operational equipment for maintenance and continuous improvement
- Developing and improving operating procedures
- Working with operations to assess continuous Improvement opportunities
- Design of bespoke jigs, fixtures and handling aids, developing their specification for procurement
- Implementing and proving out process improvements; fitting and testing prior to hand over to Production
- Work in accordance with ISO9001, 45001, and 18001
Experience in the following is highly desired:
- Vault or similar revision and document control
- Bill of Materials
- Materials selection
- Tolerancing
- Supplier relationships
- Engineer cost reductions
- Able to perform hand calculations
- Working with PU products
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- Knowledge / Understanding of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001.
- Experience with document control processes.
- Working knowledge of pipework, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks (3D CAD) is highly desired.
